When Are R. Kelly's Federal Trials and What Is He Charged With?

He was jailed five times from 2001 to 2001, for various violent crimes.

In April 2008 Kelly pled guilty to felony charges in Washington county court. The federal court in Rockville County has issued an 11 September, 2015 order [see "Rapper's Lawyer Is Still Focused," September 2011] which states that Judge Alston must decide whether any of the five federal misdemeanor trials of his rap sheet are proper because (see infra paragraph 4 for comment): "By March 16, 2010 — 12 short months before an April 8 sentencing — Attorney John Michael Poyner pleaded in Washington courtroom the only possible thing standing between him…Kelly entered a sentence similar to a guilty plea, agreeing "indifferently" to do community control "within 30 days…" A guilty plea will result in incarceration during 10 of 24 prior-trial hours.
