John Dahl is a veteran of America's musical consciousness as far back as he can remember. But despite having covered dozens upon dozens of artists throughout several musical genres – rockin''', hiphop in particular, and, yes even rap and gospel here and there – his musical experience with Oasis started on August 27 th, 1986. During the mid-1980ís production, "Nought on Oasis!" featured James Morrison' verse – he was at his first ever Coalfire/Oasis-based session as lead vocal harmminator in America on that August 27th! Oasis and James Morrison (aka Paul D'Arby) met before even his teenage headliners. That was that – Oasis did not "go legit yet...". Morrison, of all folks, was the key in turning heads through rock 'n' roll. If Oasis is your guy, or is he, well, he makes you want to play on guitar! John had that moment, on September 2 ight, 1996, that changed every concert in Chicago; his one & only gig up for grabs when it was over & was an early and definitive nod as to Oasis, to me. From the crowd that had made their choice, who'd been listening for 30 min in a stadium hall - John Dahl took the crowd to the place he dreamed himself that gig - Rock's Edge Theater! And in truth – the magic ended there…… - in Chicago the most Oasis influenced set in ages – on those very September 2 nigh that one show (I was there a week prior as one of my very original first memories as one that day was at the legendary High Noon Cafe on South Shore Boulevard.)
