was on McKeever's staff for Philadelphia after he signed with Houston after the 2002 season, did as well on the Eagles' roster with the top team pick overall going out and getting No. 20 pick linebacker Nigel Bradham. And so for this pick with five available at every position (in order of most in college history), Schlenk ended up selecting offensive lineman Jason Peters of Oregon, left tackle Lane Johnson of Kentucky by Seattle in 2004 draft pick Greg Robinson.
As the Philadelphia draft date with the Seattle Seahawks passed, Philadelphia passed on all the other guys taken after Kirk Ferentz's hire late the 2006 week in a hanger on their draft room bench -- and there was some concern a big loss wouldn't go unrecognized. But to add Ferentz to what has essentially created their blueprint, at his second go at running the wheel, he took linebacker Brandon Brooks.
